Freedom Day is a South African public holiday celebrated on April 27. It celebrates
freedom and commemorates the first post-apartheid elections held on that day in
1994.
Malawi :
Malawi celebrates the Freedom Day on 14th June.
Malta :
Maltese celebrate Freedom Day on March 31. It commemorates the withdrawal of British
troops and the Royal Navy from Malta on 1979.
Portugal :
In Portugal, it is celebrated on April 25, anniversary of Carnation Revolution, 1974.
It is also referred to as the 25 de Abril.
